Brazil will host the 2025 Pan American Senior Squash Championships, with the championships set to take place from August 21-27 in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, renowned for its breathtaking beaches, iconic landmarks, and dynamic culture.

A state-of-the-art, all-glass showcourt will be set up on the shores of Guanabara Bay, offering players and spectators an unforgettable experience with the world-famous Pan de Azucar as a unique and incredibly spectacular backdrop.
Pan de Azúcar is one of Rio’s most famous landmarks, standing 396 metres tall at the entrance of Guanabara Bay. Its name, which translates to “Sugarloaf” in English, comes from its resemblance to traditional sugarloaf molds. A top tourist attraction, the mountain offers panoramic views of Copacabana Beach, Christ the Redeemer, and the Atlantic Ocean, accessible via a scenic cable car ride.
Sergio Becerra, President of the Pan American Squash Federation (FPS), expressed his excitement: “Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Brazilian Squash Federation and President Jose Lopes, we have secured a legendary stage for our sport. The Pan Am Senior Championships – Pan de Azúcar 2025 will join the ranks of some of the most iconic squash venues in the world, including the Pyramids of Giza (Egypt), Grand Central Terminal (New York, USA), The Hong Kong Harbour (Hong Kong, China), and Canary Wharf (London, UK).
“With a world-class competition set against the backdrop of Rio’s vibrant energy, the 2025 Pan Am Senior Squash Championships promises to be an unforgettable event for athletes and spectators!”
